Lions Project Pride

Lions Project Pride is a program for Canadian Lions Clubs. Lions from British Columbia to Newfoundland distribute over 40,000 flags each year. Annually, in June, a representative of the Musquodoboit Valley Lions Club visits Grade 1 classrooms in the elementary schools in our community. Each student is presented with a Canadian flag and a certificate that describes the diversity of our country and the pride we have in being Canadian and in being a Lion.

The certificate that each Grade One student receives says...

My country is Canada.

I am free to be ME regardless of my colour or beliefs.

The symbol of my country is the Maple Leaf.

I am proud to be Canadian.
